Introduction to Special Collection Resources of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Library
Established in 2008, the Special Collection Department of the Library of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is responsible for the collection, sorting, processing and provision of related services of special collection resources. There are five types of resources as shown in the following:
n Document resources: including ancient books, documents from the Republic of China (1911nts fr, international organization literature, the faculties and students’ work, thesis & dissertations, the Village Survey resources, and the Top 500 Enterprises resources.
n Self-built database resources: including the academic database under construction and the World Association for Political Economy (WAPE) Scholar database built in 2016.
n Space resources: including the Scholarship & Exhibition Commons of SUFE, and many special collections reading rooms.
n Equipment resources: book scanner.
Terminal resources: including Bloomberg Terminal, Wind Terminal, Hang Seng Juyuan Terminal and China Real Estate Index Data Terminal.
Ancient Books and Documents of the Republic of China (1911nt Boo | n Resources It has a collection of nearly 80,000 volumes of academic resources, including classics of traditional Chinese culture and modern Chinese books, newspapers, and periodicals. The Village Survey Resources | n Resources The Village Survey reading room contains original questionnaires, research reports, monography and related physical objects of the Village Survey Project over the years. Top 500 Enterprises resources | n Resources The resources of the top 500 companies include the resources of China's top 500 companies and the resources of the world's top 500 companies. The resources of China's top 500 companies include more than 3,000 volumes of relevant materials, reports of China's top 500 companies (2002-2018), and some enterprise publications. SUFE Scholars Hub | n Introduction SUFE Scholars Hub is an integrated management and service platform for SUFE. The platform provides data support services for scholars, departments, and management departments through collecting, sorting, and processing academic data of more than 3,900 scholars in SUFE, such as research papers, teaching information, academic activities information and honors and awards. It can realize the long-term preservation, integrated application of SUFE's academic data assets and expansion of SUFE's academic influence. SUFE Scholars Hub is still under construction. n |
WAPE Scholar | n Resources The World Database of Political economy Scholars (WAPE Scholar), as a political economy subject repository jointly initiated by the World Political Economy Society and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Library, aims to provide multilingual support for subject exchanges to Marxist economists from all over the world Platform. n Space The Scholarship & Exhibition Commons of SUFE is a new area integrating display, seminar, training, experience, learning, research and other functions, with the total construction area is about 800 square meters. The Space is used to be special collection of Top 500 Chinese Enterprise of SUFE, and was completed and put into use in November 2019. The commons showcases SUFE’s academic achievements, precious resources and outstanding people. Professional scanner | n Equipment There is an OS15000 book scanner. The maximum scanning format of the scanning manuscript table is 460 x 360 mm (super A3), the resolution is up to 600dpi, 42-bit color scanning can scan large-format books and periodicals without obstacles, and the data can be output to a variety of standards Image format. The scanning system also provides automatic correction of text bending deformation.
